Hello question with one of our ded servers. We were using a reseller account to play with DA and now we are ready to install it on one of our dedicated servers. Problem is I'm wanting to use the same ns1.zzz and ns2.zzz that we used for the reseller account. So other than making ns3 and ns4 temp and then changing back to ns1 and ns2 after the old ones are released how can we do this?
Basically we are wanting to make it so the accounts on the reseller accounts don't have any down time thats why we don't just close reseller and change ips on ns1 and ns2.

Hello,

Create the new domains and nameservers exactly the same way as you have them on the test box. Once everthing is set with the correct IP, just change the IP's of your nameservers at your registrars and it will start using the new box for dns. You shouldn't notice any downtime at all, you'll just have 2 copies running and people will see the new server once the updated dns info propogates. After a few days of it being propogated, you can remove the site from the test box.
