here is a great site, http://419eater.com it is a site designed to inform and combat scams, but it is great in it goes one step further, it screws with the scammers, for example, when you report a scam a team will reply numerous times "falling" for the scam and get them to send via ups or fedex numerous checks to them... this done often enough uses a lot of money, money the scammer is NOT going to get back.
the headers, IPs etc etc are all tracked too. they do whatever it takes to shut these guys down...
My guess is the site is run by guys with a lot of time on their hands.... but hell, I bet they have fun!
