First a short simple lesson on what a web page is. ( a web site is just one or more web pages)
A web page has 3 basic functioning parts
1-Called HTML, it is a list of instructions of what to display and where to find the item that needs to be displayed.
2-Programming, It can be many types, common like JAVA and PHP, this allows preform logical things like take a user name and password and compare it to one stored if they match, go to page 2, if not, the user gets a nice try message, there are many more examples too....
3- media, things like pictures, video, music, flash, these items are usually located in a folder in your public_HTML or www directory, the HTML above would tell your browser where to find these items and where on your page to place them.
Now, with that overly simple lesson, your first page is probably called index.HTML, if you open the page with a browser and choose view source from the internet explorer menu bar you will see something like <img src= .......
read what follows, it probably says images/mypicture.jpg or many variations.
the first part is the "folder" where it expects to find your photos, the second part is the name of the exact picture it is looking for.
if you can not find the "folder" in your list on your hosting account, create it and then upload ALL of your pictures and graphics to it, this should then have your site showing properly....
