If you don't need multi-ip and don't convert, there is no harm in that.
Enabling the unified ftp password file just means the ftp accounts show up in the /etc/proftpd.passwd. They can be moved around without too much difficulty if you turn off the unified ftp password file option.

My biggest concern is teaching users that they now need to use [email protected] format when previously they've just been using username format.

Or do I not need to do that?

I think it only is like that if the users has a owned IP. For users with shared IPs I don't think there is any change at all. But I am not sure, I might be wrong about this.

Hello,

Correct, it only applies for "main" domains on owned IP. Extra domains on an owned IP will already have the @ format, and all domains on shared IPs will already have the @ format.

Use the simulation mode to find out if anyone will be affected, and let them know ahead of the conversion. If nobody is affected, then nobody will notice.

Hello,

Thanks, I've added
Code:
SKINS:
admin/content_main.html
reseller/content_main.html

Hello,

My guess would be, new skin, old binary.
Or even if DA itself didn't get restarted, that would still count as the old binary still running.
Check:
Code:
cd /usr/local/directadmin
./directadmin v
./directadmin o
killall -9 directadmin
./directadmin d

Error Temporary Bandwidth Increase reseller

I updated the server but when I try to Temporary Increase Bandwidth for a reseller it says it has been done. When I go back to the list and click on the reseller I get an error and I can't see anything about that reseller anymore.

Hello,

We have not yet tested 5.0.8.
I've just added support for it in the setup.sh, so you can get the new setup.sh and try again.

Note, we've seen newer versions of debian need an exim recompile.
