Hello,

We were trying to install the DA on FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE with the script setup.sh and we got abborted with the error below

=====
Cannot find /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date... up2date may break things.
*** Cannot find the /etc/shadow file used for passwords ***
*** bison is required for compiling, please install bison (up2date -u bison)***
*** cannot the find webalizer binary, please install webalizer (up2date -u webalizer)***
*** You have /var partition. The databases, emails and logs will use this partition. *MAKE SURE* its adequ ly large (6 gig or larger)
=====

The FreeBSD dont have /etc/shadow and also /etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date file. Have some one come accross these errors.

Regards
Tisha

DA not detecting FreeBSD

It seems that DA is not detecting the OS as FreeBSD .

You have to get your license from DA for the specific OS you're going to run it on.

Your license appears to be for a version of Red Hat Linux, since up2date is Red Hat Linux program.

Thanks Jeff for the reply. I have contacted DA support and they have updated the license file to that of FreeBSD. Now the installation is completed without any problem
