Installatron provides DirectAdmin users with the ability to easily install and upgrade a growing list of web scripts. See www.installatron.com for details.

This is final version 2.3. We have no known issues at this time. :)

--

To upgrade to this version, simply navigate to the DirectAdmin Plugin Manager, tick 'Installatron', and click the 'Upgrade' button.

To install this version on a new server, see this guide: http://www.installatron.com/installation

Enjoy. :)

The Installatron language system has changed a lot since our initial implementation. Under the new system, only Polish and English are currently available.

Check out the "final" language SDK here:

do i need to pay for this seperately! I got Direct admin from hivelocity and it came with DA when i leased a dedicated server!

what do i need to do i get this error:

Installatron Error: IP Not Found

Your IP number -- XX.XX.XX.XX-- was not found in the Installatron.com license list.
Check your license assignment via your Installatron client account.

Then, click here to try activating again.

That is correct, vincenzobar. Installatron is currently NOT bundled with DiectAdmin (we are two separate companies).

If you are interested in Installatron, either check out www.installatron.com yourself, or ask hivelocity to look into adding Installatron for you :)

Thank you, Phi1.

Ok..

I noticed this happened after i enabled the SSL to be use with DA..

I disabled and everything runs fine..

Any ideas? I want to use the SSL option with DA..

dec,

To run Installatron over SSL, PHP needs to be recompiled with the --with-openssl flag. See http://www.installatron.com/requirements.

As of recently, OpenSSL now comes standard with DA PHP installs, so you should be able to simply follow this howto: http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=26

Thank You, Phi1.

Ok.. I ran everything the way the procedure says and i am still not able to make it work.

This is the how to i used to configure SSL with DA:

http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3007&highlight=ssl

Any Ideas? Like how do i check Openssl is installed as a module to php?

Thanks

The Installatron error message you're seeing will go away once PHP is successfully compiled --with-openssl. Installatron checks via PHP's extension_loaded function.

This command will also return your PHP configure string when PHP is complied --with-openssl:

php -i | grep with-openssl

I got it working now following the compilation you mention in your website under requirements.

I guess Openssl does not come by default with DA yet

Thanks

Don't know if it's normal or not, but for the latest package update i had to set PHP's mem limit to 16 MB/script instead of the normal 8 MB. Is that normal behaviour ?

Icheb,

I can't say that is either abnormal or normal. I do not have very much experience with the PHP memory limit, but I can say having to change that number could make sense. I wouldn't worry about it.

Clicked on "Update Installers & Languages" today.

Here is what I got:

LANGUAGE: Polish
> Warning unable to write to ~/lang/pl
> Solution chmod writable ~/lang/ and ~/lang/pl

So I checked the dirs and indeed, there seems to be a problem :

2 drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 512 Aug 22 08:42 .
2 drwx--x--x 15 diradmin diradmin 512 Aug 22 08:42 ..
6 -r--r--r-- 1 admin admin 4557 Aug 22 08:42 en
2 -r--r--r-- 1 admin admin 27 Aug 22 08:42 pl

Hmm.

The lang files should be chmod 644 admin. Not sure how yours got to 444.

chmod 644 /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/lang/*

I'll look into how this happened when I get home tonight.

Thank You, Phi1.

That just means their website is/was down. Give it another go later (perhaps now?) and it will probably work.

GXX,

This will require a new version of Installatron. By default, iTron simply uses an installer's name-key as the "default path." Perhaps we can fit this change into the next release, iTron v2.3.1.

FYI, you can also fix this by enabling CGI in any directory on your server (by modifying httpd.conf). :)

Thanks for the suggestion though.

After a fresh install of 2.3.1, I clicked on "Update Installers & Languages" and got this :

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: p_xoops in /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/engine/system/admin.php on line 446

and now nobody can use installatron admin. We get:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: p_xoops in /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/engine/installatron.php on line 287

It sounds like the update might not have been completely successful.

Try deleting these two files:

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/packages/xoops
/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/import/xoops

And see if that fixes the errors you're finding in Installatron?

If not, then delete all the files in both of those directories:

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/packages/*
/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/import/*

And try again? I can almost garantee that'll fix it.

Then just do the Update Installers & Languages again.
