FTP Help

I have create a FTP user account

And given access details to my developer but he cannot edit the files nor upload the files - he can only view the files the whole idea is to create a separate folder and given access to the coder so he can work and change files, am I missing something ? please advise.

It should be a full account. There would be no point in it being read only. Check your ftp logs and check permissions of the folder.

Most likely the files are owned by another user/group than the owner of the DirectAdmin account.
The files should receive chown -R user:group your_folder with the appropriate values.
