I had a directadmin server which crashed due to hard disk drive bad sectors,
Now I've mounted the old server's drive in systemrescue live cd, and I can copy files from it over network,
Also I've build a new directadmin server to copy data into it,
But my question is what files and folders I had to copy to had all accounts and data back?
/home for files
/var/lib/mysql for databases
But what for directadmin and account settings?

Also everything in /etc/virtual.

And unfortunately a lot of other files as well.

I didn't respond to this post when I first saw it because restoring if you don't have backups is more an art than a science, and I wanted to see what others would write.

However I just remembered that the DirectAdmin System Backup offers a lot of insight in the form of a list of directories and files it backs up for manual restore of a server if required.

So just click on System Backup from the admin login to your new server and you can get a lot of insight as to what you need to restore.
