How you develop skin?

Hi,

how do you develop a skin? How do you test it? Every time you change something you upload it on server and try it? Can you edit it on server through FTP? Any tip....

Concerning the FTP issue, what comes to mind is that you could use SSH. The better editors for code editing support this.

I have read this and I understand everything. I just wan to edit this on live server or somewhere where I can see what what I have changed....
