Hello,

On the morning of February 20th, 2014, a network attack caused our ISPs network to become unresponsive causing our main website to not be visible online.
The server itself was fine, the load was 0.0 (zero traffic), and all of the data was completely unaffected (nothing has been compromised).

Unfortunately, the datacenter was not able to block this attack.

As such, we have moved to a new datacenter, which is better equipped for such events.
In short, the old DC gave us 12 years of near perfect up-time (many thanks, well done), but we have outgrown it, and have moved to a larger DC.

For the most part, things will appear the same.

The main issue is that our IP has changed.

As a result, any connections to the old IP won't work until the old datacenter restores the connectivity of the old server.
They've told us this should be within 24 hours.

Until that time, you may encounter errors such as:
Subject: *** An error has occurred while trying to update the license file ***
Unable to connect to 66.51.122.131
Unable to connect to secure socket
Unable to connect to any site for a license update
or similar errors in regards to updating DirectAdmin through the Licenses/Updates page.

If you need to update your license and get that error, update it manually:

If you need to update DirectAdmin itself to get the latest version, again, update it manually:

The packages will connect to new server, so once updated (if you decide do), you will no longer have those issues.

As mentioned, these issues should pass once the old datacenter can connect through to the 66.51.122.131 IP again (will connect to the back-end of the new server's database).

Also, as a permanent solution, I've updated all packages to connect to our new server, but also included a fallback IP (to prevent this issue in the future)
You can download these updated binaries with the id=29 guide, above, if you wish.
However, this is not required if:
- the old IP comes back
- if you don't need a new version of DA.

We'd like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.
Please contact us if you have issues with any license or DirectAdmin updates.
