Hi

This morning I changed the bandwidth on an account. As a result, Apache will not restart.

As a temporary fix, I've disabled the 'Include line' for the account's httpd.conf file in the main httpd.conf file - this allows Apache to start - so bringing up the other sites on the server, but the site for which I changed the bandwidth is down.

What can I do to get the site working again?

Try starting apache manually (after uncommenting out the one domain) to see what error message you get.

Thanks for helping Jeff.

I've now found out the problem.

There was a typo in my custom virtual_host.conf template.

Although I made the template a couple of weeks ago it hadn't actually been used. (It was checked by cutting and pasting.)

By changing bandwidth, DirectAdmin was rewriting the httpd.conf for the account and so inserting the typo.

I tracked the error down by checking
/var/log/messages

Thanks for the help.

Mike
