Hello,

DirectAdmin 1.45.3 RC2 is now ready for testing.
1.45.3 Versions Entry

To install this version, use the pre-release guide:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=408
Note that these binaries will still show 1.45.2, just check the compile date for June 11th.

New Features:

Bug Fixes:

We also recommend setting
Code:
ajax=1
into your directadmin.conf. We may enable this as a default option for a future release.
Ajax adds many features, such as auto-fills, live form checking with friendly messages, etc..

The current release date is slated for Jun 30th, 2014, assuming all goes well.

Please report any issues with these changes that you may find, but confirmation that the changes are working would also be appreciated.

Thanks!

John

Made a few extra small changes for the exim.conf 4.2.2 on June 10, 22:03 (files1):

  • RFC syntax
  • sets smtp_accept_max_nonmail = 10
  • blocks HELO for ylmf-pc

New size and md5sum should be as follows:
Code:
exim.conf-SpamBlockerTechnology-v4.2.2.txt 23121 dde6089637609e86654f6ce2c4a957cc
exim.conf-SpamBlockerTechnology-v4.2.1-to-v4.2.2.diff 4221 889ad6e405623ba72c734dd7759d2557
I left it as version 4.2.2 to avoid needing patches that cross multiple versions.

More changes to exim.conf 4.2.2, June 24, 2014:
  • removed the paypal sender check, as some emails come from ebay servers.
  • remove X-Spam headers on incoming messages.
Code:
exim.conf-SpamBlockerTechnology-v4.2.2.txt 23191 5aba4831656fa9490ac403ce9123b23b
exim.conf-SpamBlockerTechnology-v4.2.1-to-v4.2.2.diff 4950 4e64fa48213b86738c832df4d468da3e

And some get forwarded through other servers as well. Sorry, John, I should have told you about that when I removed it. I'm glad we're working towards a unified file.

Fixed a bug in DA in relation to this with the limit checks:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1603
where if there was a limit of 1 domains, the domain wouldn't get restored, as it used the count from the backup, which was already 1, before the domain was created.. thus was denied.

Updated pre-release binaries, compile date should show June 11th.

I'm not sure what you've changed and I can't find it in the diff :(. Can you help me?
sets smtp_accept_max_nonmail = 10
I don't remember why I've been using 19, but can you tell me why you lowered it to 10?

Thanks.

Jeff

10 is the default, but having this number as low as we can would reduce the number of auth attempts per connection... which (after reading up on the option), was one of the main reasons it was added.
The RFC bits was just to put an smtp return code in the blocklist messages, was reported by a client as a good way to do it.

The entire diff can be found here:

Thanks for the vote of confisence for my work, SeLLeRoNe.

Do you mean the one in DirectAdmin files?

Does anyone know if that one will get updated by CustomBuild 2? Or if it's necessary to set updating of exim.conf to no?

Note, John has made some changes to the 4.2.2 version he hosts. Note also that John and I are working together towards a new unified version to become the DirectAdmin default at some point.
