Hi There Again...
I updated our installation of DA yesterday and we are excited about the new features that the developers continue to add. We, as in my company (CCSi). For some time now we have tried to come to grips with reverse DNS and how that effects our email system.
With the v 1.225 update, our hope is that we can use the new feature set to help limit any reverse DNS issues that we "may" presently have. I say "may" because I generally get myself mixed up while trying to deal with it... yes, I know, it is a sad state of affairs )
Now for the question at hand... according to the new feature we can "Ability to easily add and manage reverse dns lookups on server IPs on the system through the dns panel. " So, does that mean that if we get the reverse DNS setup properly for the main server IP, that other IPs, our email system (standard DA), etc. will all follow suit? If that is the case, is there a certain way to use this tool? Can we simply use the tool to apply it to our main server IP and be done with it?
Thanks in advance for your insight.
PS: just to note... we also use a Baracudda SPAM / Virus firewall on our system... does this complicate things at all? (baracudda.ccsionline.net.)
