Hi

I try to install mysql from custom installation of DA.
It's proposed, but not possible. It's always MariaDB

=> it seem mysql has been replace by MariaDB. So, I think custom installation should not propose mysql if not available.

You are probably using CentOS 7, on that OS only MariaDB is avaible, and it does work as MySQL so you can use it without problem ;)

I've Centos 7, it's why I posted here.

I understand (after some search), that mariadb replace mysql.

But I try, and try and try to install mysql, because it's available in DA custom installation.

Sorry i didnt read the section where you posted :p

Yes is avaible in CB but not for CentOS 7, when you select MySQL in options.conf in CentOS 7 it automatically replace it with MariaDB.

Regards

nope, it's always MariaDB, impossible to replace it, or I don't understand how to do it.
It's not a problem, now I understand that MariaDB do the same, but I didn't know before.

So my post, is just to clear custombuild, to not propose something "impossible".
But I'm maybe wrong.

Sorry i may have missunderstood.

MariaDB cant be replaced with MySQL in CentOS 7.

Can you post a screenshot to better understand your issue?

Regards

I believe there's a thread somewhere in which John has posted that if we install MySQL from yum repository, that DirectAdmin will support it even on CentOS 7.
