My server ip is : 205.236.139.11 as showbase.com
I wanted to make a test for a reseller to have their own DNS giving to their users (clients)

On server:
205.236.139.11 server 0 255.255.255.0
205.236.139.17 owned allstart allstart ns1.allstart.ca 255.255.255.0
205.236.139.18 free allstart ns2.allstart.ca 255.255.255.0

In CIRA.ca, it's says this:
DNS1 ns1.allstart.ca 205.136.139.17
DNS2 ns2.allstart.ca 205.136.139.18

Somoehow, the IP can't be resolved and with dnsreport, it can't fin the NS. No firewall is there on the server. When you type 205.136.139.17 into browser, it comes with the page no problem. Only the resolutoin of the IP - Domain name doesn't work.

Any IP can be itself a NS (ns1 and ns2) and not using the primary server???

***** More info
The server hostname is da1.showbase.com
what do we need to put in ns1 and ns2 itself??? Right now, this is what I have,

Server's Hostname da1.showbase.com
NS1 ns1.showbase.com
NS2 (EMPTY)

We use 1 Secondary DNS apart from DA. We just configured the 2nd NS to ns2.domain.ext and made an A record ns2 A [IP]

For you it would be:

ns1.showbase.com [IP of your server]
ns2.showbase.com [IP of other server]

You could both set it to another server ;)

Does it take a period at the end?

Do we put a dot at the end? We put IP or hostname?

allstart.ca. NS da1.showbase.com.
allstart.ca. NS ns1.showbase.com.

OR

allstart.ca. NS 205.236.139.11(Hostname of DA Box)
allstart.ca. NS 205.236.139.12 (Free IP On DA Box but not used)
