How to upgrade from centos 6.8 to 7.2

Hello,

1. Start a new server with CentOS 7.2
2. Migrate users from a server with CentOS 6.8 to CentOS 7.2

Question:

Is a clean CentOS 7 install required if you compiled DirectAdmin on CentOS 7 however used a license for CentOS 6; then after updated directadmin license to CentOS 7, and re-installed directadmin?

Used the following to re-install directadmin: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=29

However, DirectAdmin still shows "Compiled on CentOS 6 64bit" ...

We were told by our datacenter that it will show the above no matter if CentOS 6 or 7 is installed...

Can someone chime in on this please. Thanks!

They are right, the sign will change only if you change OS in Directadmin. You can run Directadmin for CentOS 6 on CentOS 7 with

Code:
systemd=1
set in directadmin.conf.
