IPv6

Hello there,

Are there any plans to add IPv6 support to DirectAdmin's DNS Management system? I'm sure its not a big change in the source, and looking at this forum, it would help out a number of people, including me.

Yes, this feature is needed and very welcomed. Maybe Mark or John can say something about.

It must be very simple to do this, add another table at the controlpanel for AAAA records

So the guys at DA could fix this

Just support for DNS records might be relatively easy, but it's not all you'd have to do to change DA to make it fully IPv6 compatible.

Apart from DNS what else would you have to do?

Apache2 vs Apache 1.3* is obvious, but I can't think of anything else that would be problematic.

I haven't done an exhaustive study.

One thing that comes to mind is any IP# display in DA.

Another, of course, is allowing all IP# inputs to accept IPv6 format.
