Hello,

I have an issue with people hotlinking to my site.

I've created .htaccess with the appropriate stuff in it, but it doesn't stop the hotlinking - my guess is that mod_rewrite is not on.

Does that sound correct for a FreeBSD 5.2.1 & DA install?

I have not used the apache builder, how do I go about rebuilding apache with mod_rewrite?

cd /usr/local/directadmin/customapache
./build update
./build apache

mod_rewrite is a standard module I think that is included by default. It's on for me by default anyways.
Check your httpd.conf file and see if the mod_rewrite lines are commented, if they are uncomenting and restarting should do the trick.

Did you use the example provided here? http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=33

My example was slightly different, I tried that one and got the same. So I built - now all is well.

But how do I make it so that there can be no blank referrers, so they can't copy & paste the link into their browser. The pics in this directory should only be able to be viewed from within the forums.
