We have a reseller account where the NS is beeing difficult with us.

This reseller accounts domain is jojolopa.com, which uses ns1.filmverden.com and ns2.filmverden.com. (this is the same NS as our main account uses).

The resellers account is setup to use ns1.jojolopa.com and ns2.jojolopa.com for its customers in the "nameserver"-area in the reseller panel. But we can't get it to respond to any requests - it just can't be found.

62.70.22.75 shared 0 ns1.jojolopa.com
62.70.22.76 shared 0 ns2.jojolopa.com

Thanks in advancem,

Jens Chr.

Are the nameservers registered with the registrar? If not get it done and it will work, if they are check to see if they're pointing to the correct IPs.

That seems to be a problem too. We've done all the preparations that is expected server side. But when whe try to update on the registrar side, it won't accept the name servers. Here is the error:
ERROR ! Update not achieved :Name server could not be created or updated in the registry. Only the owner of jojolopa.com may effect a host within that domain. Try using a different host, or arrange to have the requested host record created/modified by the owner of jojolopa.com.
Name Server Information Domain: WEBUPTIME.NET

Here we try to use nsX.jojolopa.com for the domain webuptime.net.

as admins to the server, we have checked that webuptime.net is correctly configured on the server. We also have total control over jojolopa.com from DA's point of view.

Are these 2 nameservers registered with your registrar?

62.70.22.75 shared 0 ns1.jojolopa.com
62.70.22.76 shared 0 ns2.jojolopa.com

if they are then don't use your registrars nameservers for webuptime.net but simply point the domain name the nameservers and let your server handle the DNS for the domain.

PS. which registrar are you using?

To tell you the truth; I don't know of any other way to register nameservers with a registrar, other than trough a normal "domain admin panel" -- changing the NS-servers as stated. If there are any other ways to approach, please tell me - as we've nevner had a problem like this before; with any domain.

My clients domain jojolopa.com seems to be registered with: SoftNepal.

The domain we are using to test the name servies with is, as stated: webuptime.net. Registered with domainspeople.com (registrar), reseller is domainpeople.com, though. With whom we where trying to adjust the name server to go to nsX.jojolopa.com

Just entering it in the DNS is not sufficient to register them as NameServers. Registering a nameserver means your registrar adds a glue record for your nameservers which allows them to be found. You'll have to ask SoftNepal how to do it.
