System load average

Hi,

i just run the top command

what is "load average: 0.13, 0.29, 0.49"

i'm running a P4 3GHz HT with 1GB RAM. until how high is the load average then i should afraid?

yep mr. jeff is correct. You shouldn't worry and it should go up decently high when doing backups and processor usage things.


A friend of mine had a spammer on his box and load was 16.
