help to friends with pdf

One of my friends called me about .pdf issues. I said him that I'm not a guru, but I try to help. He can't open .pdf file via Adobe Acrobat Reader after some failure. No one knows what failure is.

Just uninstall Adoba Acrobat Reader and install the newest one.
Another option is to use https://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/]Foxit PDF reader to read pdf documents.
