Thank you so much for that valuable information.

Which PHP versions are supported by operating system?

I don't see Cloudlinux on the DA support list so that's out.

Which PHP versions are supported by operating system?

I'm glad I asked. For the moment I'll stick with old DA and upgrade the program but the program is immense including non-OO calls to MySQL. There will be plenty of other issues as well with PHP because they removed a lot of defaults that now throw errors instead. Obviously being able to run the...

Does DirectAdmin have cardDAV and calDAV server support?

Does DirectAdmin have the equivalent of cPanel's "Calendar and Contacts Server" so that contacts and calendars can sync across their devices using RFC standard cardDAV and calDAV? I know that RoundCube can be configured as a client to support it. Thanks!

    DirectAdmin/CustomBuild: Removal of suPHP, mod_ruid2, mod_php, MySQL 5.5/5.6, MariaDB 5.5/10.0/10.1/10.2

Distros support versions past the date that the date software authors maintain it and customer choices are driven by such. Are we saying that DirectAdmin has decided to be driven by the date software authors decide to maintain it and not fully support the distros?

The service 'proftpd' on server is currently down error messages?

The fixes didn't work for me either. This is getting too much. I simply turned FTP off.

    Dependencies for Debian 12

Got it! However, I don't think they should put it out there if it isn't so because people will install it and then hope it works. They also show AlmaLinux 9 as being supported. However, it's not an option on their license manager, but Auto is, so I guess just set it to auto?

    Dependencies for Debian 12

So what does this mean for Debian 12 today? The DA requirements page shows it works with DA.

Thoughts for a single distro for web servers, gui servers, and desktops.

Leapp? Thanks for the reply. The issues you could run into with DA during an OS upgrade must be considered any time you do an OS upgrade. Maybe one day DA will supply a config file to upgrades to the RHEL and Debian lines.

Thoughts for a single distro for web servers, gui servers, and desktops.

I just learned about Proxmox from bdacus01/Brent hours ago, which triggered the thought when you mentioned Docker. This is the type of real and balanced experience I need to hear before even thinking about wasting time on something that ends up being another rabbit hole, as was the case after...

Thoughts for a single distro for web servers, gui servers, and desktops.

Easy upgrades is my concern with the RHEL line. I've never done an OS upgrade with any Linux system but I've seen online more positive about the Debian family than the RHEL line where it upgrading without rip&replace is new ground, some going well, and some being very careful and at length...
