Does anyone know how to search?

Maybe it was just me but I got a kick out of that :p But on a serious note I completely agree. Most of the answers I find are from myself searching for other people. Perhaps some guidlines made sticky in each forum containting what little rules there are and some forum etiquette...

    Backup services

I am exploring the option of adding Backup services to our service product lineup. Essentially, the backup service would work for anyone with FTP and RSYNC support. Here's the fun part. Besides direct access using the two protocols mentioned above, a special plugin for DirectAdmin would be...

    Log Viewer Feature Poll

I'd like to get your opinions on adding a download log feature to the Log Viewer module for JTbox. Bassically, this would allow your users to download logs from the server. The user would be able to select what log, how many lines or filesize, and the filetype(zip, tar.gz).

    Directory Filesize

In semi-reference to: http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8180&highlight=du It wouldn't be a bad feature to add to have directadmin use both the "ls" and "du" commands together yielding proper directory filesize reading intead of relative. More like windows system where...

I've been on the hunt to find a ticket system that just plain works and is inexpensive before I resort to writing my own. I'm interested in knowing what ticket system you use, pros cons, do you cherish or regret your decision etc. I'd like to hear your comments whether or not the system you are...

    Plugin System: Root/user levels

I have a plugin that is run from the user level, but portions of it need root access to modify certain files. Unless somebody can provide a workaround I would like to make a request to provide at least some ideas of how to workaround this. Idea 1: All plugins be run with root/admin permissions...

    Music in the workplace

Since server administration is not really a social job unless your on the tech support side that deals with customers. I was curious if you listened to music while at "work", and if so any kind in particular? If you are an employer, why or why not do you allow employee's to bring their own...

    Full custom httpd configuration management

I think a function that is really needed is full control over custom httpd configurations, allowing us to add/edit/delete anything we want instead of being limited to just adding configurations inside the virtualhosts. Just my suggestion for the month :p
