At the bottom of https://docs.directadmin.com/other-hosting-services/dns/general.html there is standing "The CREATOR token has been added for the dns_a.conf style dns_*.conf templates."
My custom/dns_a.conf file lookes like this
|*if IS_IPV6!="yes"|
2 |DOMAIN|.=|IP|

Tottaly agree with you!
But the biggest problem is that DirectAdmin is not communicated like they should do. For example the 50% deal for LLH's we never heared about so it will be somewhere in the forum here. But they have all our email addresses you it is a small work to mail all LLH to tell...
Thats not really true, if you 'buy' a Linux you know it will not run Windows programs.
The 'problem' with HP (and DirectAdmin) is: it worked and there was set a software switch to prevent it. (a software switch: they just need to say YES or NO as easy as it is, no costs and not lots of work !)...
I think the biggest problem for us, lifetime license holders, is that DirectAdmin has nothing to loose, they can only win. So they can do what they want.
(in text under: DA = DirectAdmin / LLH = lifetime license holders)
Now DA don't earn any money on lifetime license so:

I came across this thread by chance. I predicted this several years ago
Indeed the first and major problem: lack of communication!
We need to read in a forum that licenses we bought will become useless
We have around 10 lifetime licenses bought years and years ago and now we should move...
I also think if the licenses itself doesn't cost so much, legacy license owners are willing to pay a small fee / month to change there legacy licenses to non-legacy/new licenses.
We are maybe not such a big customer, but in the good old days we asked and we met the conditions for internal prices.
It's not a complaint either, it's just an observation that directadmin is changing from a good (and cheap) alternative for the big tech companies at that time to one of the...
We have enough licenses to go over the $29/month.
When we should all pay them with the internal monthly license price we would pay > $29/month
(we have a mix of lifetime and monthly paid licenses)
Am I reading this good? Is there again a price change for the DirectAdmin Licenses?
Important License Changes
We came from (internal) lifetime licenses to monthly paid (internal) licenses and now when we need new licenses we will be forced to buy a standard $29/month license?
And what will...
FYI: when we updated our CentOS 7 server, clamav was not configured good
We had to activate TCPSocket 3310 and TCPAddr 127.0.0.1 in /etc/clamd.d/scan.conf
before the change, clamd@scan was started but we got messages inside /var/log/exim/mainlog (malware acl condition: clamd [127.0.0.1]:3310 ...
yes, on both machines we had the problem, on both machines it is solved with --tls-max 1.2
we have also a Centos 7 server, if you like I can test it also on that machine
