For all who use snapshots, create diskimages, instances and so on. Change ip's and also maybe change hostnames. AND LAN installation / vps..
Here some links in one post that could be handy.

Some with license and other manuals / howtos are old or links not working

https://www.directadmin.com/change_ip.php here is this link not working anymore https://new.es6-64.com/installguide.php on
Install a default copy of DirectAdmin on a template server.

Change ip new version is here https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=250

But not the part of Install a default copy of DirectAdmin on a template server. can't find that.??

More LINKS

https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=75 for
I can't connect to DirectAdmin on port 2222
and https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=160 for
The ip of this machine () does not match the ip in the license file
are old and both don't have the links / howto's for "LAN" installations of DA could be also maybe cause for that problem.

I mean these are missing there?

A HOWTO prepare a "snapshot/image" reinstall on/with new ip's /network and having the old server still online for meantime would be nice to.

OYEA take care with CENTOS 8 and NetworkManager that is different, while depricated not default installed network scripts.. in Manuals and howtos

BUMP this part sorry i'm new with that.
Part
1:
A howto for Creating a DA "template" / "bleuprint" installation diskimage for example for CENTOS 8 with imagebuilder and composer.?
https://www.golinuxcloud.com/cockpit-image-builder-custom-rhel-iso-linux/ but then how to add Directadmin base to it.

So result is a kind of template / startup disk from where you can create/install instances / servers with Directadmin you only have to update, set ip's license and so on.

Also result is / could be less needing resources on directadmin servers for downloading and much quicker/speed installation.

While i guess the link is gone this is way to old "Install a default copy of DirectAdmin on a template server. " todo new installations with some preconfiguration defaults.

That is one part.

2:
The other is a better / complete howto if using snapshots of instances/servers/vps and getting those back online with for example new network ip's

All to make life easier with the newer possible tools. :)

Things to do when using a clone/snapshot/copy:

- Yum update & reboot

- ipswap.sh to change the IP
- hostname.sh to change the hostname
- getLicense.sh to get the new license

- Change root and da_admin password for mySQL and update in the following files:
/usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf
/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt

- Change license id in:
/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/user.conf

- Change hostname in:
/usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/options.conf
/usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf
/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/user.conf
/etc/named.conf
/var/named/<old_hostname>.db

- Generate new public and private key for SSH
- CSF -u to update CSF
- Update all installed software: /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/ && ./build update && ./build update_versions
