550 authentication required in system mail

With system email addresses, you just use the username without the domain since the user is an actual Linux user (and not just email virtual account).

    SpamAssassin - Install Error!

I agree, dependencies shouldn't be a step. Options should be available for features, and each feature should ensure the required dependencies are installed I think.

    SpamAssassin - Install Error!

These directions have worked fine each time I've followed them, Debian or CentOS: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=36 I do agree the install process could be improved to remove a few steps.

    PHP Version on Sub-Domain

I think if you want a subdomain to have a separate php version, you need to add it as a full domain instead of a subdomain.

    2nd ip not visible anymore??

Also "ip a" works too. Glad things worked out!

    2nd ip not visible anymore??

This may not solve it, but it jumped out for me. Try typing "ip address" and using the "ip" command instead. I was blasted a few months ago for using "ifconfig" instead of the "ip" command, since ifconfig for network management was deemed obsolete (or something like that). I see similar...

    CloudLinux Support

I figured as much since it seems to have a very similar look and feel to the cPanel interface for CL, but the confirmation is useful.

    CloudLinux Support

Who provides the support for the CloudLinux LVE manager plugin? DA support or CloudLinux support?

    Selective PHP security per user

Right, so from that, then perhaps the process described here could be implemented?: https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/how-to-enable-proc_open-for-one-user.58164/page-2 I'm just looking for way to make php-fpm "secure_php" better than ON or OFF, to better manage users with a reasonable...

    Selective PHP security per user

I don't think those mechanisms allow you to override the "disable_functions setting" which is applied with the CB 2.0 "secure_php" option, which seems to be a global setting. php-fpm conf gives the appearance of an override, but it doesn't seem to take effect. That is my primary issue at the...

Enquiry on Package Updates on CentOS 8

Confirmation if someone could clear that up would be excellent. This mailing list announcement seems to make it clear they are distinct installs: https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2019-September/023449.html

Enquiry on Package Updates on CentOS 8

Isn't CentOS Stream different fro CentOS 8? Does the Stream issue affect those installing with the CentOS 8 boot ISO? https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOSStream

    Production Ready?

From an inexperienced user, the hardest part was getting CentOS 8 installed first (since their boot ISO had issues with the mirrors not being included for whatever reason). After that, I think DA installed just fine. My only hiccup was that I needed to add the epel release repo to get a couple...

    SSL Problem for Subdomain

I think your issue likely doesn't have to do with the certificate, and is related more to the service configuration, hence my question about www, imap4, smtp, etc. Can you see the certificate and key from the DA interface? Are you using a Let's Encrypt certificate, or a certificate from another...

    SSL Problem for Subdomain

Regarding the email configuration, you can try ./build exim_conf and ./build dovecot_conf and see if that helps. Do you only have an issue with only www or only mail? or do both still not work?

    php-fpm and mod_ruid2 - current view

Does the general tone of the advice that "mod_ruid2 only applies to mod_php" still apply? https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/php-fpm-and-mod_ruid2-with-php7-1.56552/ I noticed DA default install has mod_ruid2 = no, with php-fpm. Are there benefits to mod_ruid2 even when using php-fpm these...

How i can see my domains in my local network

It sounds like maybe the router function doesn't support NAT loopback, or "hairpinning", or it is not configured.

Make custom package item available in config templates (httpd, openlitespeed, php-fpm...)

I was working on something related to this before Christmas, see here: https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/custom-php-security-per-user-or-domain.59868/ and now I'm back at it and came across this thread, as well as another similar thread...

    SSL Problem for Subdomain

I don't recall if it was actually necessary, but you may need to do Server Manager > Custom HTTPD Configurations > ./build rewrite_confs, and perhaps restart Apache, Dovecot, and Exim.

Direct opes with HTTP instead of HTTPS

By default DA doesn't include setup for HTTPS out of the box (I think this is a huge oversight). If you have an FQDN for your server, you can immediately run the following to get a Let's Encrypt certificate for your server name and log in with that: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=629...
