Does dns get setup for domain pointer domains?

It says you must have a name so I can't add the plain ol' domain.com record after deleting it.

If you use domain pointers, will the email also be redirected to the destination domain and go into the appropriate email accounts?

I have a client that made a folder in UebiMiau and then moved all his mail into, now when you click on the folder he moved, it boots you out and you have to login again, so these 179 emails are inaccessible! Any ideas?
