    MySQL InnoDb

Do the pre-packaged MySQL binaries from DirectAdmin come with InnoDb enabled? Everything seems to suggest that they do, yet I simply can't create InnoDB tables; it just sets them to MyISAM, completely ignoring the 'TYPE=InnoDB' at the end.

    Upgrade Process

Hi, I'm about to take the jump from the FreeBSD 4 series to the FreeBSD 5 & 6 series. I'm okay doing the FreeBSD upgrades via CVSUP but is there a recommended process for how I handle DirectAdmin and things like my Apache data through this? If this sort of stuff is already written down...

    MySQL Client

Hi, How does DirectAdmin link to the MySQL client? Upgrades to the MySQL server (using the update.mysql.sh script) seem to go okay, but PHP's mysql_get_client_info() is still reporting 3.23.49. I've installed a later version of MySQL client via FreeBSD (I'm on 4.10) ports, but I think I need...

    Odd problem with Webalizer

I have a strange problem with Webalizer. I got a new box in January and installed DA on it fine. The stats for January run from the 13th (when I got the box) onwards as I'd expect. However, the stats shown for February run only from the 1st to the 12th and there are no stats for March. As it's...

Very odd 'user not found' messages

I added a domain name to one of my DA accounts and then added a few pointers for that domain name. Now I think the above may be a red herring, but I've mentioned it because it's the only thing I've done. Now, however, all the cron jobs seem to be failing with: root: not found Or anyuser...

    Eliminating confusion

Hi, I'm quite new to DA (a week or so - previously cPanel) and, as chance would have it, I also have a new OS (FreeBSD 4.10 - previously RH 9), so I'm suffering from some confusion about how the two integrate. Of particular confusion to me is what is upgraded by DA and what isn't. Take Exim...

    Confusing email redirection

Hi, I would be grateful if someone could help me figure out what this means: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed...

    Looks good

I'm not a customer yet, but I have to say that DirectAdmin looks pretty good and I'll certainly be keeping an eye on it. It's a shame I recently commissioned a new server with CPanel on it before seeing this. I know it's a bit cheeky with me not being a customer (yet!), but I thought I'd chip...
