Being that CentOS is a fast sinking ship, I'm jumping ship and going to Debian I think. Anyone else been having same thoughts as of late?

I was looking in /var/www/html and all the old versions are still installed. This is not secure at all. Why are we doing that?

    Apache went haywire

I have been out of my server administrating duties for a while, so I've lost my touch. I'm at a loss. Nobody has logged into this server for roughly three weeks. Apache just **** the bed. [root@server1 build]# service httpd start Starting httpd: httpd: Could not open configuration file...

    Backing up

Let's say I wanted to rdiff-backup the key directadmin files to an offsite server. What are the directories I need? Only ones that come to mind are /usr/local/directadmin/conf, /home, /var/lib/mysql, /var/named.. and /directadmin/data What am I missing?

    DirectAdmin's secure /home feature

I know DirectAdmin has the secure_access_group=access feature - but.. It sets /home to 710. Where can I change it to 711 instead? 710 makes clamav not be able to scan uploaded files via proftpd. 711 works.

If network is fast and VT support is enabled, I can have a fresh OS install running Xen and having a fully installed HVM guest in less then 30 minutes. EDIT: Xen will eat a single disk for breakfast. RAID1 at minimum, RAID10 best. Moderator's Note: copied from a VirtualBox Installation thread...

    Account Migration

Pardon me if this is the wrong place.. I see the Admin Backup/Transfer tool - but is that all? I want a tool that will do that backup, copy it to the new server of my choice (either via IP entry with login credentials... or via one of the 'multi servers').. Does that exist?

Can not get php imap working

I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of. I created /custombuild/custom/suphp/configure.php5, modified the /custombuild/configure/suphp/configure.php5 to no success. It's just not there! I can't figure it out for the life of me. I tried the top 3 steps in http://www.directadmin.com/imap.txt to...
