What is the future for Legacy DirectAdmin License holders?

Unfortunately this not the case. DirectAdmin is checking what version you are using. (Even if it is installed by hand.) You have no issues with MySQL since it has (not yet) a blocked version but if you try this with MariaDB 10.11 then DirectAdmin will refuse to work since the legacy license does...

    Solved Cannot change forum username?

That was from a couple of year ago. I requested a change to Daniel_Dog. And in my account settings, it still says the request needs moderator approval. And thus I am also not able to rerequest the username change.

What is the future for Legacy DirectAdmin License holders?

I did not see that DirectAdmin had already stated that MySQL 9 will probably not be supported for lifetime licenses. (And if that is true then DirectAdmin needs to change the policy since they are the ones forcing the users to have a semi up-to-date DirectAdmin.) And as a side note: This also...

That is weird, since I still have my old username.

What is the future for Legacy DirectAdmin License holders?

Disclosure: I am not a lifetime license holder but I am just giving a piece of my mind. Given that DirectAdmin does not allow lifetime licenses to update to MariaDB 10.11 as of now, does not mean this will never change. My hope is that DirectAdmin will increase the max version for MariaDB once...

How to install DirectAdmin legacy code-base

Just do it as you used to do it. There are no different installations steps from legacy code base and the new modern license. The only difference is that the new features will not be usable until you upgrade your license.

    install java

Sorry but this is not possible. You NEED root access to install java. And please keep in mind that this forum is for DirectAdmin license holder only and not for hosting company customers. If you need support you will need to ask your hosting company.

Should I still encrypt a admin backup if its also encrypted by rclone?

Hello everyone, I am currently working on the plans to move my DirectAdmin VPSes to my own VMs on my Dedicated server that runs ProxMox VE 8. Currently I am uploading my backups to an S3 provider via my own custum scripts and let DirectAdmin encrypt the admin backups. I have however had a lot...

Add IPv6 address to IP Manager via command-line

Hello everyone, I am currently tweaking my DirectAdmin automatic installation script. At the moment DirectAdmin only adds the IPv4 address of the server to the IP Manager and does not add the IPv6 address of the server as well. So this means that every time I deploy a server I need to manually...

Solved Cannot get DirectAdmin to install

I know about this change but I have never had any big issues with it. Also when I ping files.directadmin.com, it pings just fine. But it is weird that it cannot get that specific file. And I cannot see how just one file cna brake the entire installation. (But this seems to be the case.)

Update: After trying to install on a new VM with CSF off (as I have had install issues with CSF in the past) it still did not install. I also noticed that I get a lot of return error code 522 form curl. (See image)

Solved Cannot get DirectAdmin to install

Hello everyone, I am trying to get DirectAdmin to install on my Proxmox VE 8 server. I created a VM template for DirectAdmin and added a Cloud-Init config to auto install DirectAdmin. Solved Advice on NameServer/DNS setup

Thanks for your insights. For anyone who wants to know what I ended up doing or who might stumble upon this thread with the same question: I decided to go back to just having 2 DirectAdmin VMs/VPSes. Given that I prefer to use a good normal standard setup instead of having a lot of redundancy...

    Solved Advice on NameServer/DNS setup

Hello everyone, I recently got a dedicated server and installed Proxmox VE 8 on it so that I can host (almost all) my VMs/VPSes myself instead of renting a VPS for every host I need. My current VPS setup looks like: - main VPS in Nuremberg (Germany) that host all the websites itself. (It does...

    License Discount

There are only 2 ways to get a “discount”. 1. Have a lifetime license and upgrade to a new standard license for just 15$/month. 2. Buy enough licenses to qualify for the bulk discount rate. (For bulk discount you need the value of 4 standard licenses (116$/month) for 15% discoun.)

License check failure See the Debug GuideReason: transparent license check failure: incompatible version, please upgrade DirectAdmin

EDIT: Sorry but I mixed up the versions. Your DirectAdmin should work since it is compatible with the new licensing system. Please check if you are using the newer license key. If you have not updated the license key to the new key format, then please do as it should solve the issue. If you did...
