Quota's on /var???

This is a little odd. As it just started recently (possibly after an upgrade?)

When I add a new user I get

Error with system Quotas
setquota: Mountpoint (or device) /var not found. setquota: Not all specified mountpoints are using quota.

it does not affect the creation of the user, at least it doesn't appear to.

Is /var supposed to have quota's set on it?

I have fixed it so /var now has quota's but just wondering if anyone else has seen this and if it's supposed to be this way???

DA version 1.27.3 on CentOS 3.3
