Ls,

An ISP is delivering us Internet facilities. We have built a Windows (aspx .net) website that is running on our own server.
(this server can be reached with IP-address).

I want mail etc. on the Linux server of the ISP. When i type www.dataplanner.nl i want to see the website on our Windows machine.

I tried forwarding to the IP-address. Then i see the IP-address in the address bar of the browser
I tried I-Frames include. Then the session of windows is ended after each pageview.

so
mail.dataplanner.nl etc. --> server/IP of the ISP
www.dataplanner.nl ---> server/IP of ourselves

Directadmin (dns) is on the server of the ISP.

1. Is this possible?

If so
1. What records do i have to change in DNS?
2. Does it last any time before i see any results?
(as usual in changing DNS/IP)

Thanks and kind regards

You've really answered your own question; all the services you want on your own server (dataplanner.nl and perhaps www.dataplanner.nl) should point to your own server's IP#, and all the ones you want served by your ISPs server should point to your ISP's IP#.

It appears everything is right now; perhaps you just had to wait a bit longer for everything to resolve.

You are right, I had to wait a little longer.

I changed the www A record to the new IP address, waited and it works.
-->

www A IP-Addres

Thanks
