Testing out DA

Hi all

I would like to know if I can just install a trial of DA on my server which already has plesk on it, just to test it out and see if everything works.
Would there be any conflicts at all? Or would it be better to do a clean install?
 
Hello,

It is not recommended to do that and it is better to install DirectAdmin on a clean server.
 
Plesk has a totally different directory structure for apache etc (like subdomains etc), so its not that feasible to put another control panel together which has a (better) different directory structure to the current one.
 
Or in other words, if you try installing DirectAdmin on a server running Plesk, two things will happen:

1) DirectAdmin will not work
2) Plesk will not work

thanks for the feedback guys.
I think I should just jump ship directly to DA once the funds clear and the sour and costly experience with plesk expires.;)
