hi,

few weeks ago i started using directadmin. i created an emailadress, it was working properly, since yesterday teh entire emailbox is empty, no mails no spam, everything gone.
when someone sends a mail to me it just doesnt arrive.

what now? this email is used for important business. we need to acces the mails.

Hello,

Make sure your domain is delegated properly with http://intodns.com/ and make sure your MX records are fine.
Also you should read /var/log/exim/mainlog in order to find what might be wrong with it.

the intodns sais invalid request while my other domain name is ok.

those mx records.. i only could find one mx record.. and its set to 10..

the var /log/.. i couldn't find :(
 
It seems it fixed itself .

i have only one remaining problem.

if i send an email it doesnt send or it the user recieves it after 4-6 hours later..wich is very annoying you can imagen ;)

i wonder why everything worked.. and since yesterday it doesnt..

if i log in with my ftp.. it shows different files then when i use filemanager on directadmin. on the ftp it doesnt show my testfile. but with filemanager it does show.
when i use the url to acces the testfile.. it shows up from tme to time and sometimes it sais no file found..?? sometimes in directadmin, it shows 3 mail adresses i created. and sometimes only2.

i am sure there's a fault with the service of directadmin.. so why does those things change from time to time without my permission or doing something to the settings.!

Ok i figured something out..


i think there are 2 instances of my account running simoultanious . support gave me 2 ways to login. an ip and a url for logging in my directadmin.

now when i login into one.. it says total different things then when i log in the second way.. so why? who do i need to contact about this?
 
If you bought a hosting account from a company, you should refer your questions to them.

If you own/rent a server with directadmin, then you can ask your questions either here, or open a ticket with your hosting company as well.
