    Exim compile enabled by default in CustomBuild 2.0

    Hello,

    Exim is now compiled by default for new DirectAdmin installs in CustomBuild 2.0.
    It was previously left to rpms/packages for install, but now that we're confident the compiler rarely has issues with it, we're able to enable it by default.

    We'll eventually remove the exim rpm/deb packages for new OS installer build, since CB2 handles all of that (should anything be missing).

    Hello John,

    As far as I know system filter on CentOS is installed from the rpm package. So custombuild script will take care of it? Will it overwrite the file with every build/update of exim, exim.conf? Or other?

    Code:
    [root@server etc]# yum provides /etc/system_filter.exim
    Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
    Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
     * base: it.centos.contactlab.it
     * epel: mirror.infonline.de
     * extras: it.centos.contactlab.it
     * updates: it.centos.contactlab.it
    da_exim-4.89.1-1.x86_64 : Mail Transfer Agent
    Repo        : installed
    Matched from:
    Filename    : /etc/system_filter.exim

    [root@server etc]#

    CustomBuild updates it if eximconf=yes is set in the options.conf file. I'd suggest setting "chattr +i" for it, if you have any customizations done to it and exim_conf=yes set in the options.conf file. Thank you!

    I wonder how many users will loose their customized /etc/system_filter.exim with a new update, as we all are used to have it unchanged by directadmin. probably you have another solution?

    Another solution would be:
    Code:
    mkdir -p /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/exim
    cp -p /etc/system_filter.exim /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/exim/
