    Email message headers modified

    Hello, anyone can help me?
    A customer has a mailbox "name@domain.xxx" and configured a forwarder "alias@domain.xxx" -> "name@domain.xxx"
The mailbox has a vacation message.
Now when he sends a mail to the mailbox everything is ok and the vacation message is triggered, but when he writes to the alias the message header are modified and the vacation message does not reach back to the sender.
These are samples of the modified and unmodified headers.

message sent from sender@gmail.com to alias@domain.xxx (Return-Path and envelope-from are wrong)
    Code:
    Return-Path: <SRS0=RgILFf=TO=gmail.com=sender@domain.xxx>
    Delivered-To: name@domain.xxx
    Received: from xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        by xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with LMTP
        id YPtBDfbJ2lyQLgAA5DQULQ
        (envelope-from <SRS0=RgILFf=TO=gmail.com=sender@domain.xxx>)
        for <name@domain.xxx>; Tue, 14 May 2019 16:00:22 +0200
    Return-path: <SRS0=RgILFf=TO=gmail.com=sender@domain.xxx>
    Envelope-to: alias@domain.xxx
    ...
message sent from sender@gmail.com to name@domain.xxx (Return-Path and envelope-from are correct)
    Code:
    Return-Path: <sender@gmail.com>
    Delivered-To: name@domain.xxx
    Received: from xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        by xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with LMTP
        id iIswBpnJ2lyQLgAA5DQULQ
        (envelope-from <sender@gmail.com>)
        for <name@domain.xxx>; Tue, 14 May 2019 15:58:49 +0200
    Return-path: <sender@gmail.com>
    Envelope-to: name@domain.xxx
    ...
    Thanks to everyone

    Hello,

Short version: It's not a bug. That's how the things work.

Thanks for the answer. I understand it's not a bug but why the headers are changed?
What's the need for such modification of the return path ?
