Hi,

Currently struggling with new servers and Dovecot setup.

I installed all configured options from CustomBuild with no joy, all my mail servers are rejecting incoming connections, I can however login via webmail.

For starters something is conflicting:

So this is not correct.
Try this:

mv exim.conf exim.conf.bak
cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
./build clean all
./build update
./build exim
./build exim_conf
./build dovecot

After that, check that you have /etc/exim.pl version #24 and exim.conf version 4.5.14.

If there are still issuess, try telnetting to localhost like:
telnet localhost 25
and see if the mailserver answers. If yes. Check if port 25 is opened in your firewall.
