Astaro Security Linux + Directadmin = GOOD ?

DirectAdmin doesn't have a release for Astaro Security Linux.

It will refuse to install.

You might be able to fool DA to install by creating a file at /etc/redhat-release with the right information in it for the version you're buying.

If it installed it would probably still fail to run, unless Astaro looks internally exactly as RHEL or RHL does.

And if it runs it probably wouldn't run with any real extra security measures, since DA compiles most daemons, languages, and extensions used in webhosting, rather than use the ones that come with the OS.

Thread moved to OS Related Discussion.
