? about adding domain name

i have DA installed on my VDS and when i go to the user button and then add my Domain name it says " error domain name already exist" but it doens't ... or does it? am i doing something wrong?

Check to make sure you have not already added that domain to your DNS in the Admin area.

i emailed the company that installed it and they said there was a trace of the domain name and that he deleted all the traces and now i can add it..
