Did somebody know how to fix this problem??

Try ftp manually to see what happens when you try to move any of those files to the account set up for it on the backup server.

Jeff

i've the same problem here (Centos5)
what can i do?

in shell, the ftp command is ok in the same ftp account.

First check the logs on the receiving server to see if the login attempt is even being made.

I'm having the same problem, everything seems to be fine but there are no files on the remote location.

FTP'ing by hand work fine, so that rules out any firewall and username/password issues.
I also tried this option: http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=111 but no luck either ...

any ideas?

I've asked a question. Either I've asked it for no reason ;) or I need the answer to go further in my analysis.

Guess which one of the above is true :) .

Of course it's possible someone more clairvoyant than I may have an answer and respond, but I can't go further.

Sorry, I can't take a look at the logfiles since I backup to a simple NAS.

The funny thing is that it was working before I did a reinstall of this server, I went from CentOS 4.3 to 4.5 ... can't figure out what the differences are in FTP'ing.

It's really impossible to guess. It's necesary to see what's wrong.

If possible set up backup to a real linux-based server where you can see logs.

Or ask the folk who manage/sell the NAS to help you resolve the issue.

Or have an experienced administrator log into your system and look for anomalies.
