ok 1 more question lol.. Where does the bandwidth come from.. Say i were to buy my own server and keep it in my house to host domains from. Does the bandwidth come from my server or my ISP. and if it comes from me can I add bandwidth to the server. thanks

Bandwidth is usually at a set rate - main server providers offer 100mb/s as standard or a dedicated 10mb/s dedicated line... a home broadband connection pushes on average 380kb/s or a 1mb around double that....... usually set bandwidth (for example 500gb) isnt actual who its provided by the ISP, but rather set by the provider.

basically, its not software, not hardware nor is it a variable set in your systems hidden config file - The amount varies based on your ISP and your connection among other things that will affect it very slightly.
