I am trying to block an entire IP range in Brute force Monitor, in DA.

But i dont get it how to add an entire range. the ip i am trying to block is from china, some type of search bot, crawler, that is adding load to the system and has a full range of 202.46.32.0 - 202.46.63.255

I dont have clients from there and its bothering me, how can i do this under Brute Force Monitor, i get this link, on ??
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1252

I cant understand how, it doesnt say specifically, can someone please guide me.
how can i do this.

Well strange, it seems I faced the same issue, while trying to specify a range:

192.168.1.1-255
192.168.1.1-5
192.168.1.1-192.168.2.255
192.168.1.1 - 192.168.2.255
192.168.1.0/24

Probably that's a bug.

I get this error:

Thank you mate, for looking into the matter.

Hope someone could respond, on how this can be fixed. I do not prefer to go thru the iptables route, as i turn off ftp/sshd on live environments for security purposes.

That should be actually a bug of BFM, but, if you're using CSF you may want to block the range into it 202.46.32.0/19

It may work as you expect.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I did read your post, but I wasn't sure if you tried them individually or all together. Trying them all together at the same time could trigger the error where individually they could work.

Every single line of those examples was made as a separate attempt, i.e. 5 lines, 5 attemps, 5 errors with the same text. I've just tried to specify an IP range several different ways, and all of them failed.

Thanks for the clarification. I use CSF, and I'm thinking of getting rid of the BFM.

I see nothing has changed through years? Or does anyone has a workaround how to block ip range from Brute Force Monitor panel?
