I have an email newsletter on one of the sites and I just sent out a bunch of emails two days ago and not one bounce or out of office message came back......... Probably an exim question and not related to freebsd, but where did all of the bounces go?

The server I moved this from had qmail on it and we sent out the messages with a bounce reply email address so we could remove bounces. That is not working now.

Hello,

I believe they should all go to you DA system email account. Have a look at your majordomo aliases to trace the path of the forwards.

/etc/virtual/domain.com/majordomo/list.aliases
/etc/virtual/domain.com/majordomo/private.aliases

Our site does the sending, we don't use majordomo and I don't have those files.

I do have /etc/virtual/domain.com/aliases with this -

nags: nags
*: [email protected]

Should that be forwarding everything, including bounces, to my email address?

Hello,

Check /var/log/exim/mainlog to see where the bounces are being sent. If it's being sent through apache, [email protected] might be getting them. You could try adding "Reply-To:" if it isn't already there.

I think that is it -

[email protected]

Getting the emails now. I had a bad .forward file in my /root/ directory.

Thanks, sorry for the dumb question.
