Can't login to directadmin because being redirected to non-working domain.com:2222

I locked myself out of root, because I set nolimit for root in /etc/security/limits.conf

And I set directadmin to redirect to DOMAIN.COM:2222 instead of using an IP https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=801... And BIND doesn't seem to be responding because of the nolimit anymore...

Now I can't log in any way... For SSH I set a SSH KEY for admin and can't figure that out, but I could always use :2222 to login as admin.

How do I login into directadmin now? (none of the users are sudo; tried su - admin, but that didn't do anything...

Any suggestions?

If you did not disable password authentication yet in sshd_config and/or disable root access, you should be able to login as root via SSH.
At least if you are running Centos/Fedora, I believe root access is disabled by default in Ubuntu, maybe Debian too, I've got no clue I only use Centos servers.

You don't need to su to admin to change things if you are root.
