Hmm. After a server reboot, running

Code:
yum clean metadata
worked this time and fixed the problem.

[root]# yum clean metadata
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
19 metadata files removed
8 sqlite files removed
0 metadata files removed

Before the server reboot, there were all 0 files removed. I guess something was hung on the metadata files.

CentOS 5 3 Python Update Fails

My newly installed Centos 4 image doesnt seem to have yum or up2date installed. Is there a Tektonic specific RPM for this, or should I attempt to find one from Centos directly?

You should contact Tektonic if they're the company that provides your VPS.

You should contact your hosting provider they can fix it for you.
