DA not accesible

hi all,

DirectAdmin is not accesible on https://myhostname:2222/ for some days already; it used to work, but now these errors appear:

< The site can’t be reached. The https://myhostname:2222 refused to connect.

Try: checking the connection; checking the proxy and the firewall>

or

< Unable to connect. Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at https://myhostname:2222.>

I have already double checked DNS and the hostname – they’re fine; there shouldn’t be issue with proxies or firewall either as I didn’t make any changes.

Would someone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot it?

Can you connect over SSH? Did you enter a wrong password a lot, and locked yourself out?
 
Brute force maybe..? But then also you can't connect on domain name themselves.

Try then over a VPN , and also other computer / device if there are some older OS / devices that haven't the newer encryption is also to look for and check.

You should she those error connections over ssh login and log files, don't know now which.

Traceroute/tracert ping ip from your server on command line from your pc.
