https://www.directadmin.com/install.html

Versions supported up to 9.3 which is no longer Production at FreeBSD.org.

Versions 10.3 and 11 of FreeBSD are current production releases.

Are these going to be supported or has DA given up their FreeBSD support. I need to know since I may now have to move to Debian or CentOS.

I'm currently running 10.3 but I continue to experience problems. I also have a DA install on a 9.3 FreeBSD and that runs well but eventually I'm going to have to upgrade to a production release.

What's the deal?

Directadmin works fine on FreeBSD 11. There is an alpha subforum too.

There are issues, yes, but the serious are not actually DA related.

Personally I will stay on BSD.

P.S. I did upgrade one FreeBSD 9.1 server with directadmin to 11.0 with no problems (except the two hours of downtime during the precompilations of all services).

I installed it on FreeBSD 11 with few extra steps and it is working fine.

Below is what did:

pkg install wget
pkg install perl5
pkg install bind910
cd /usr/ports/lang/php56
make install
run the directadmin setup.sh (save the login details when done)
cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
./build dovecot
./build exim
./build pureftpd
./build iconv
./build php
Done.

FreeBSD is a very solid OS :)

I run it on 10.3 but let's be realistic, if the changes are few then why doesn't DA just do the work and officially support it?
