DA stopped after update

I clicked on the update link through the administrator interface.

After the update, the service didn't start. now when I use the command:
/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/directadmin start

It says error.

There are several logs in /var/log/directadmin.

Should I run the update script? Or how can I troubleshoot this better?

I just received a error message but 1.27.5 is still working:

Subject: FAILED DirectAdmin update Today at 14:08
DirectAdmin and/or DA-APT has FAILED to update.
Reason: Unknown DirectAdmin version. Please try again tomorrow.

Only on one server, other did a perfect upgrade. Both are debian 3.1.

Exact same problem - i hit update said would go to update que, and DA refuses to load since - not too good huh? Just another benefit of cpanel over DA! Need some help to fix this! Thanks!

Hello,

Please include your OS version and the last few errors from your error.log files.

Also, what do you get when you type:

cd /usr/local/directadmin
./directadmin

Regarding apt-get, we don't distribute any apt-get packages, only direct tar.gz updates, so I can't comment on that.

I was able to get directadmin updated by removeing da-apt.
