somehow Directadmin daemon on my server down, and I cant access http://my.server.ip.address:2222
and when I tried to restart directadmin, it display error

Code:
# service directadmin start
Starting DirectAdmin: /bin/bash: line 1: 11109 Segmentation fault /usr/local/directadmin/directadmin d
                                                           [FAILED]

and when I check directadmin error log.. the last thing I found is below...

Code:
# tail -n 10 error.log
2008:09:03-20:23:04: Socket write error: fd is connected to a pipe or socket whose reading end is closed. When this happens the writing process will also receive a SIG_PIPE signal. (Thus, the write return value is seen only if the program catches, blocks or ignores this signal.)
2008:09:03-20:23:04: Error while sending ./data/skins/enhanced/images/header.gif

what should I do??

TIA for your suggestion

# date

It might. But it's overkill, and will remove all the admin, reseller, user and site information from your server so if you go this route, be sure to do a backup first.

Why don't you ask DirectAdmin Support first?

yap, I am doing paralel support here, from forum and also email to support team. So I can get wider angle of view :D

I think the server get hacked.. what should I do? I am new admin for this server, the previous resign before me. so no hand over or what ever...

If the server was never properly handed off to you and you think it might have been hacked, then I'd suggest your best course of action might very well be to rebuild the server (after making site/reseller backups of course) so you can feel confident about the server.

yap, I was thinking the same. but it may cause downtime for our users. well I'll discuss it with the server owner first. thank you for your suggestion. and the case is solve by the help of DA support team :)
