domain problem

due to me inadvertently stripping the server of all the data that was on it and having no back up i've now got a totally dead package.

I managed to get the hosts to reset the server but i'm having a problem with the domain showing.

I have just the one account within the direct admin panel and thats 'admin' i've installed SMF back to the server but to enable it to install from the install.php it needs to see the domain.

but when i look at the admin it doesn't show it as having a domain and when i add a reseller and try to add the domain (that used to be the one used before it all got deleted) it tells me that the domain already exists, but i can't see it, find it or anything.

Help!

It seems as if your hosting company didn't completely restore the server.

Check to see if you've got a DNS zone for the domain. If so, then you'll have to delete it before you can set up the domain again.
